A man have two dices. if he rolled both dice, then find the probability of that the sum of digits of both dice will be either 6 or 9?

    Solutions

    Solution

    Total possible cases = 6 × 6 = 36
    Number of way which sum of two digits should be 6 = (3, 3) (2, 4) (1,5) (4,2) (5,1)
So, total number of 5 cases possible
    Number of way which sum of two digits should be 9 = (3,6) (4 ,5) (6,3) (5,4)
So, total number of 4 cases possible
    Total possible cases = 5 + 4 = 9
    Required probability =  9/36
    = 1/4

Motor boat A start from point P at 7 AM toward point Q in upstream, while motor boat B start from point Q at 9 AM in downstream. Speed of stream is 14 km/hr and distance between point P and Q is 1800 km. If speed of boat A and boat B in still water is 94 km/hr and 106 km/hr respectively, then find what time both motor boats will meet?

    Solutions

    Upstream speed for boat A = 94 - 14 = 80 km/hr
    Downstream speed for boat B = 106 + 14 =120 km/hr
    Distance travel by motor boat A in 2 hours = 80 × 2 =160 km
    Remaining distance = 1800  - 160 = 1640 km
    Relative speed of motor boat A and B = 80 + 120 = 200 km/hr

    Required time = = 8.2 hours
    8.2 hours = 8 hours and 12 minutes
Time both motor boats will meet = 9 am + 8 hours and 12 minutes
    = 5. 12 PM
