Pattern Of The BITSAT Examination
In this section, the entire exam pattern is described in detail for your benefit.

| PART | SUBJECT | NO. OF QUESTIONS |
| Part I | Physics | 30 |
| Part II | Chemistry | 30 |
| Past III | (a) English Proficiency | 10 |
| (b) Logical Reasoning | 20 | |
| Part IV | Mathematics (For all B.E., M.Sc., and B.Pharm. Programmes) OR Biology (For B. Pharm & B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engg. Programmes) | 40 |
| Total | 130 |
- There is no particular time limit for the individual parts of the test. You can go back and change any of your answers among the 130 questions.
- If there is still time, a candidate who completes all 130 questions (without omitting any) will be given the opportunity to try 12 (twelve) additional questions. Only three questions from each of the following subjects will be included in these additional questions: physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, and logical reasoning. Furthermore, the candidate cannot go back and change any of the 130 questions they had answered after choosing to take the additional questions.
- A competent student will be able to complete 130 questions in 180 minutes due to the way the questions are structured. Highly deserving candidates will have an opportunity to improve their score by answering the additional questions (up to 12). Candidates should be aware that incorrect answers may result in a deduction from their final score and that attempting to answer the questions solely by guessing will probably not give them any benefit.
- There will be a large question bank from which the questions will be chosen at random. The question sets that are given to various candidates will vary. The question sets will be examined by an expert committee to make sure they are similar in terms of content, question type, and difficulty level. In this case, the expert committee's ruling will be definitive and binding for the candidate.
- The test will only contain English-language instructions and questions. In order to sign, do rough work, and, other tasks, candidates should have a pen. There will be a rough work scratch pad provided. Logarithmic tables and calculators are prohibited in the testing venues. Mobile phones and other personal items are not allowed for candidates.

Tips For Effective Exam Preparation Using BITSAT Mock Test Papers With Solutions
By using the BITSAT mock test as a learning and diagnostic tool, you can set yourself up for a smarter and more efficient exam preparation journey. Here is a list of tips on how to get the most out of these mock tests.
Simulate Real Exam Conditions Every Time
Why it’s important: Practicing in a casual environment will not prepare you for the real exam stress.
What to do: You should attempt the BITSAT mock test 2026 in a quiet space without any breaks (3 hours, non-stop, on a computer). By doing so, you will be able to build mental stamina as well as exam discipline.
Use Mock Tests as Diagnostic Tools, Not Just Practice
Why it’s important: Just taking test after test without any review is insufficient.
What to do: After every BITSAT mock test free, you must spend more time analyzing your performance than you did taking the test. During this phase, you need to recognize which topics you got wrong repeatedly, the time spent per question, accuracy by subject, guessing patterns, etc. Then, you should create a ‘mistake notebook’ to log your errors, their reasons, and their solutions.
Establish a Mock Test Routine
Why it’s important: Irregular practice will not reveal any trends in your preparation.
What to do: You must set a proper routine for the BITSAT online mock test free. It can be like 1 mock test every 3 days (initially) and then 1 mock test every day (in the final 2 weeks). Once you have attempted a test, you should dedicate the next day only for its error analysis and revision of weaker topics. This way, you will be able to keep your preparation consistent as well as goal-oriented.
Focus on Weak Areas, But Don’t Ignore Strengths
Why it’s important: Several students over-focus on their weak subjects and lose sharpness in their strong ones.
What to do: After the BITSAT online mock test attempt, you should classify topics into strong (weekly revision), medium (every 3-4 days practice), and weak (daily practice). With this structured approach, you can make sure to have a well-rounded preparation and keep your strengths polished while improving weaknesses.
Combine Mock Tests with Flash Revision
Why it’s important: Revising huge chapters before a mock is not practical. Quick revision is more effective.
What to do: You should maintain flashcards or one-page summaries of formulas, key concepts, traps for each topic, and so on. Then, you can spend 15 to 30 minutes revising them before the BITSAT mock test series. In this way, you will be able to boost your retention as well as recall speed.
