- An automated scoring system may be used to assess descriptive papers in order to find characteristics associated with writing ability. This scoring system assesses test takers' proficiency and has been properly evaluated.
Personality Test
A personality test (self-report) will be required of candidates who pass the main exam. The interview panel will view the candidates' personality profiles. There will be no qualifying results from the personality test. However, in order to be eligible to participate in the interview process, it will be necessary to take the Personality Test.
Important Points To Note
Please be aware that candidates who do not have the following documents will not be allowed to take the online preliminary exam or the online main exam:
- A valid call letter for the relevant exam date and session;
- A photo-identity proof (as specified) in original form with the same name as it appears on the call letter or application form; and
- An authenticated/stamped call letter of the preliminary exam (along with an authenticated/stamped copy of the ID proof).
- Candidates will not be allowed to take the exam if they arrive late, that is, after the time indicated on the call letter. The call letter states that the reporting time is earlier than the test's start time.
- Although the online preliminary exam lasts an hour, candidates may need to spend two hours or longer at the location, including time needed to finish a number of formalities like instructions, logging in, verifying, and gathering the necessary documents etc.
- The duration of the online main exam is three hours and ten minutes, but candidates may need to stay at the location for four hours or longer to finish the necessary procedures, which include logging in, providing instructions, verifying, gathering the necessary documents, and more.
Penalty For Wrong Answers
In the Objective Tests, incorrect responses will result in penalties. To determine the adjusted score, a penalty of one-fourth, or 0.25, of the marks allotted to each question will be subtracted for each incorrect response provided by the candidate. There won't be any consequences for a question that is left blank, meaning the candidate hasn't marked a response.
Cut Off Score (Main Exam)
To be eligible for a personality test and interview, each candidate must receive a minimum score in each of the Online Main Exam's tests as well as a minimum overall score. Cutoffs and the selection of candidates for interviews and personality tests will be determined by the number of vacant positions. The candidates shortlisted for the personality test and interview will not receive their Online Main exam scores until the interview procedure is over. The IBPS's decision to shortlist and call a certain number of applicants for a personality test, common interviews, and provisional allocation is final.
Examination Centers
The test will be administered online at locations around India.
- No request to switch the exam location will be considered.
- Nevertheless, IBPS retains the authority, at its discretion, to add more centers or cancel any of the examination centers based on administrative viability, response, etc.
- In addition, IBPS retains the authority to assign the candidate to a different center than the one they have selected.
- The candidate will take the test at his or her own expense and risk; IBPS will not be held liable for any kind of loss, damage, or other consequences.
- Candidates may be disqualified from this exam and from any future IBPS exams if they exhibit disruptive behavior or misbehavior in the exam room.
Pre-Examination Training
- A limited number of candidates from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Minority Communities may be eligible for pre-examination training.
- All qualified applicants should complete the appropriate section of the online application if they choose to participate in this training.
- No candidate gains the right to be chosen by any of the participating banks listed just by taking the pre-examination training.
Interview
The Participating Banks will call up the candidates who made the short list in the online main exam and took the personality test for CRP- PO/MT-XV for an interview. It will be arranged by the Nodal Bank in each state, UT, or region with assistance from IBPS.
- Interviews will take place at specific locations. The call letter will notify the shortlisted candidates of the interview’s location, address, time, and date.
- Interview call letters must be downloaded from the official IBPS website. Please be aware that the authority will not consider any requests to change the interview’s location, date, etc. However, IBPS retains the right, in the event of unanticipated circumstances, to alter the interview’s date, location, time, center, etc., or to hold a supplementary procedure for a specific date, session, location, center, or group of candidates.
- There are 100 total marks available for the interview. At the interview, candidates must receive at least 40% of the possible points (35% for SC, ST, OBC, and PWBD candidates).
- The online main exam and the interview will have a weighted ratio of 80:20, respectively.
- Candidates' scores from the CRP-PO/MT-XV online main exam and their interview results will be used to determine their combined final score.
- The results of interviews for candidates who did not receive the required minimum score or who were otherwise disqualified from the interview or subsequent steps will not be shared.

Tips To Improve Your Score Using The IBPS PO Mock Test 2026
You can maximize the value of your attempts at the IBPS PO free mock test or the IBPS PO sample paper by using the tips that are given by our experts in this section.
- First and foremost, you should treat every IBPS PO Prelims mock test as if it’s the real exam. For this, you have to sit in a quiet room, set a timer, use a desktop or laptop if possible, avoid breaks during the test, and so on. By doing so, you will be able to train your brain to stay focused and calm under timed pressure.
- You should never jump into the next IBPS PO Prelims free mock test after finishing one. Instead, you need to spend 2X time on analysis. Here, you should look at the time spent per question, accuracy in each section, types of errors, etc.
- We recommend you create a special notebook or digital file in which you log every question you got wrong or guessed in the IBPS PO free online mock test, note why the mistake happened, and write the correct concept/solution. By reviewing this file on a regular basis, you will be able to prevent repeating the same errors.
- In the IBPS PO exam, sectional cut-off matters more than high scores. That’s why, in every IBPS PO mock test 2026, you need to avoid over-attempting one section and underperforming in others. Also, make sure that you practice time allocation for every section. By balancing all sections, you will be able to clear cut-offs as well as maximize your overall score.
- You need to know that you don’t have to attempt every question in the IBPS PO mock test. In each test, you should recognize and skip time-consuming or tricky questions on the first pass. You can come back to them later only if time allows. If you save this precious time, then you can increase your net score by avoiding negative marking.

However, IBPS retains the authority, based on response, administrative viability, etc., to add some additional centers or remove any of the examination centers.
