A person travels at speed of 30km/hr for 20 min , at speed of 36km/hr for next 10 min and at speed of 60 km/hr for next 40 min. What is his average speed?
Average speed = total distance /total time
Total distance = 30 x 20/60 + 36 x 10/60 + 60 x 40/60 = 10 + 6 + 40 = 56 km
Total time = 1/3 + 1/6 + 2/3 = 7/6 hr
Average speed = (56 x 6)/7 = 48 km/hr
Simplify: (1.3)3 × 16 ÷ 5.2 × 25
(1.3)3 x 16÷ 5.2 x 25 = (1.3 ×1.3 × 1.3 ×16×25)/5.2 = 169

3x + 12 = 7x
4x = 12

Present age of Rakhi + Rashmi = 26 × 2 + 4 = 52 + 4 = 56
Rakhi present age = 23 + 2 = 25
Rashmi present age = 56 – 25 = 31
Riya is 3 year younger than Rashmi
Present age of Riya = 31 – 3 = 28 yr
Price of 42 bananas is Rs. 63. Find the cost price of 9 dozen bananas?
Cost price of 1 banana = 63/42 = Rs. 1.5
9 dozen banana = 9 x 12 = 108 banana
Cost price of 108 banana = 108 x 1.5 = 162 Rs.
