A policeman noticed a thief from a distance of 400 m. The policeman runs to catch a thief. The thief and policeman run at 10 km and 11 km per hour respectively. What is the distance between them after 12 minutes?
Relative speed between them= 11−10 = 1 km/hr
∵ Distance covered by them in 12 minutes
= 12×1/60 = 200 m

∴ 5x + 4x = 72
⇒ 9x = 72 ⇒ x = 8
∴ weight of copper = 5x = 5 × 8 = 40 kg
and weight of zinc = 4x = 4 × 8 = 32 kg
Now, let quantity of copper extracted is y.
∴ According to the question,
⇒ 40 – y = 24 ⇒ y = 16 kg

Two trains P and Q start from stations X and Y towards each other. Trains take 5 hours and 4 hours 3 minutes to reach Y and X respectively after they meet. If speed of train P is 54 km/hr, then what is the speed (in km/hr) of the train Q?
5 Hour = 300 Minutes
4 Hours 3 minutes = 243 Minutes
⇒ S2 = (10×54)/9
⇒ S2 = 60 km/hr.
