The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Jail Warder and various Group B & C posts. A total of 2,119 vacancies have been announced under Advt. No. 01/2025. The application process will begin on 08 July 2025 and continue until 07 August 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website. Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – One Tier Exam

  2. Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Only for Jail Warder

  3. Document Verification

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • UR/EWS: 40%

  • OBC: 35%

  • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%

  • Ex-Servicemen: 5% relaxation

Exam Pattern

The selection for various posts under DSSSB will be done through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) based on One Tier Examination Schemes. The scheme of examination differs based on the nature of the post—General, Technical, or Teaching.

One Tier General Exam

DSSSB Jail Warder Physical Standards 2025

Physical Measurements (Mandatory)

Height 170 cm (Relaxable by 5 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Dogras & ST candidates)
Chest 81–85 cm (Minimum expansion of 5 cm is mandatory)
Chest Relaxation Relaxable by 5 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Dogras & ST candidates

Note: There is no upper limit for chest size, but minimum 5 cm expansion is compulsory.

DSSSB Jail Warder Medical Standards

Vision 6/6 in both eyes without glasses; Free from color blindness
Other Conditions Candidate must be free from: bow legs, knock-knees, flat feet, squint, varicose veins
General Health Good mental and physical health with no defect hampering duty performance

DSSSB Jail Warder Physical Endurance Test (PET)

(A) For General Male Candidates

Race 1600 meters in 6 minutes
Long Jump 13 feet (3 chances)
High Jump 3 feet 9 inches (3 chances)
