  • Question 1/5
    1 / -0.33

Select from the alternatives, the box that can be formed by folding the sheet shown in the figure?

    Solutions
When the sheet is folded to form a cube, then ‘A’ appears opposite to ‘B’, ‘C appears opposite to ‘F’, ‘E appears opposite to ‘D’ and ‘E’ adjacent to ‘F’, ‘A’ adjacent to ‘E’, ‘B’ adjacent to ‘F’.

Hence, only the cube in fig (4) can be formed.

  • Question 2/5

One dice is shown in different positions, whose sides have 1 to 6 digits printed on them. Study the following positions and tell which number will be on the opposite side to 3

    Solutions
According to the universal rule , if we identify two position in which we have one number in common then , we will write their sequence in clockwise manner. After studying we come to know that position I and II have only one digit common which is 3

Writing the sequence in clockwise direction writing our common number first gives:

    From position I : 3 ---- 1 -----2

    From position II : 3 ---- 5 -----6

1 is opposite of 5 and vice versa

2 is opposite of 6 and vice versa

3 is opposite of 4 and vice versa

Hence, we can conclude that 4 will be the number that is opposite to 3.

  • Question 3/5

Three surfaces of a solid cube have been colour Red, Black and Pink. Now, the red colour is opposite to red, black colour exactly opposite to black and pink is opposite to the Pink colour. Thereafter, this cube is cut into 36 equal part such that 32 cube are of the same size while four others are of bigger size. Also, no face of any of the bigger cubes have black colour.

How many cubes are there which have black colour on at least one of its surfaces?

    Solutions

Clearly, number of cubes which have black colour on atleast one of its surfaces = 16+16 = 32

  • Question 4/5
    1 / -0.33

An explanatory figure of dice is given. Study the figure and identify the correct dice formed by that figure.

    Solutions

Look at the diagram shown above. If we fold the explanatory diagram in order to give it a shape of dice, we get

N is opposite of P and vice versa

M is opposite of R and vice versa

O is opposite of Q and vice versa

Reject the diagram in option A, since M and R can not be on adjacent faces.

Similarly, Reject the diagram in option B, since O and Q can not be on adjacent faces.

Reject the diagram in option C, since P and N can not be on adjacent faces.

    Hence, option D is correct.

  • Question 5/5
    1 / -0.33

Count the number of cubes in the given figure.

    Solutions
In the given figure, 1 column containing 3 cube, 4 column containing 2 cube each and 3 column containing 1 cube each.

    Hence, Total number of cubes = (1 × 3) + (4 × 2) + (3 × 1) = 14.
