S1: A Farmer one day came to the stables to see to his beasts of burden: among them was his favourite Ass that was always well fed and often carried his master.
S6: The Farmer could not hold his sides with laughter, so the Ass went up to him, and putting his feet upon the Farmer's shoulder attempted to climb into his lap.
P: The Ass, seeing this, broke loose from his halter and commenced prancing about in imitation of the Lapdog.
Q: With the Farmer came his Lapdog, who danced about and licked his hand and frisked about as happy as could be.
R: The Lapdog jumped into his master's lap, and lay there blinking while the Farmer stroked his ears.
S: The Farmer felt in his pocket, gave the Lapdog some dainty food, and sat down while he gave his orders to his servants.
    Solutions
The passage talks about a farmer and his Lapdog. The opening statement talks about the farmers and his favourite and it would be followed by Q as this sentence only makes sense in its entirety. The phrase ‘with the farmer came his Lapdog’ indicates that the farmer went somewhere and the Lapdog tagged along with him. The continuing statement mentions that ‘the lapdog jumped into his master’s lap and the following statement states how the master gave the lapdog some dainty food and sat down in S. Thus Q is followed by S and R succeeds S. The next statement describes how the farmer has to sit himself to let the lapdog rest on his lap. This is followed by P as it describes the reaction of the ass and goes with the concluding statement. Thus, the correct sequence is QSRP.
