Exploration is most important during the early childhood stage. Exploration promotes learning and connects children with nature. It develops strong relationships with staff and other children. The early childhood stage is also known as an exploratory stage.
Emotional factors, e.g. emotional adjustability and maturity, play a big role in influencing a person’s overall growth and development. A child who is found to be overwhelmed by negative emotions like fear, anger, jealousy, etc. is adversely affected in his physical, mental, social, moral and language development.
A child’s constitutional make-up somatic structure, physique and body chemistry influence his growth and development throughout his life.
Whatever a child gets from different conditions and forces of his environment after his birth, influence his growth and development in many ways.
Development is both qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative development is the knowledge that child gains through observation or by learning. Where, Qualitative changes refer to the change in behavior, or how a child thinks and reacts.

Tactile learners learn best by touching objects. By Third grade, tactile learners appreciate learning activities that use fine motor skills including writing. The four types of learning styles are Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic.
The childhood is further divided into two parts – early childhood and later childhooD. The age group 2 to 6 falls under the category of early childhooD. Early childhood is a very crucial stage as it is the stage of holistic development.
