According to the Jain precepts and philosophy, there are five instruments of knowledge namely, matijnana (perception through activity of sense organs, including the mind), srutajnana (knowledge revealed through scriptures), avadhijnana (clairvoyant perception), manahparyayajanana (telepathic knowledge) and Kevalajnana (temporal knowledge or omniscience).

There’s only one national park in Uttar Pradesh i.e. Dudhwa National Park. It was established in 1977 and has an area of 490 sq.km. An area, whether within a sanctuary or not, can be notified by the state government or central government to be constituted as a National Park, by reason of its ecological, faunal, floral, geomorphological, or zoological association or importance, needed to for the purpose of protecting & propagating or developing wildlife therein or its environment.

Abandoned Delta: When the river shifts its mouth, the Delta already made is left abandoned. Such a Delta is called an abandoned Delta. Example, Yellow river Delta, China and the Western part of Ganga Delta made by Hoogly River, India.

The benefits of planting trees and shrubs properly along with crops are called Agroforestry. It combines diverse technologies of agriculture and forestry to ensure diversified, profitable, healthy and sustainable land-use. Agricultural forestry involves trees and agricultural crops on the same land or in close association in such a way that all the land including the waste patch is put to good use.

Three Tier Structure- All States now have a uniform three tier Panchayati Raj structure: At the base is the ‘Gram Panchayat‘. A Gram Panchayat covers a village or group of villages.

· Option A is incorrect. The intermediary level is the Mandal (also referred to as Block or Taluka). These bodies are called Mandal or Taluka Panchayats. The intermediary level body need not be constituted in smaller States.

· Option B is correct. At the apex is the Zilla Panchayat covering the entire rural area of the District.

· Option C is correct. The amendment also made a provision for the mandatory creation of the Gram Sabha. The Gram Sabha would comprise of all the adult members registered as voters in the Panchayat area. Its role and functions are decided by State legislation.

· Option D is correct. The term of each Panchayat body is five years. If the State government dissolves the Panchayat before the end of its five year term, fresh elections must be held within six months of such dissolution. This is an important provision that ensures the existence of elected local bodies. Before the 73rd amendment, in many States, there used to be indirect elections to the district bodies and there was no provision for immediate elections after dissolution.

• When some charge is placed on a soap bubble, it will be distributed uniformly on the surface of the bubble.

• Hence, the radius of the bubble will increase.
