A programming language is a formal constructed language designed to communicate instructions to computer.

EXE is a file extension for an executable file format. An executable is a file that contains a program – that is, a particular kind of file which is capable of being executed or run as a program in the computer. A file whose name ends in “.exe” is really a program that when opened causes the operating system to run the program.

MICR Code (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition Code) is a character-recognition technology used mainly by the banking industry to ease the processing and clearance of cheques and other documents.

Note: The MICR encoding called the MICR line, is at the bottom of cheques and other vouchers and typically includes the document-type indicator, bank code, bank account number, cheque number, cheque amount, and a control indicator.

Shift key used to type capital letters and other alternate "upper" characters. There are typically two shift keys, on the left and right sides of the row below the home row. The shift key's name originated from the typewriter, where one had to press and hold the button to shift up the case stamp to change to capital letters.

Speech recognition applications include voice user interfaces such as voice dialling (e.g. "Call home"), call routing (e.g. "I would like to make a collect call"), domotic appliance control, search (e.g. find a podcast where particular words were spoken), simple data entry (e.g., entering a credit card number), preparation of structured documents (e.g. a radiology report), speech-to-text processing (e.g., word processors or emails), and aircraft (usually termed Direct Voice Input).

The word processor originally written for the CP/M operating system but later ported to DOS. It was deliberately written to make as few assumptions about the underlying system as possible, allowing it to be easily ported across the many platforms that proliferated in the early 1980s. As all of these versions had relatively similar commands and controls, users could move between platforms with equal ease.
