What will come in place of the question mark (?) in the following number series?

    44, 180, ?, 17196, 275120

    Solutions

    44, 180, ?, 17196, 275120

    44 x 4 + 4 =180

    180 x 8 – 8 =1432

    1432 x 12 + 12 =17196

    17196 x 16 – 16 =275120

  • Question 2/10

What will come in place of the question mark (?) in the following number series?

    61, 13, 113, 17, ?

    Solutions

    61, 13, 113, 17, ?

    6+ 5= 61

    7− 6= 13

    8+ 7= 113

    9− 8= 17

    10+ 9= 181

  • Question 3/10
    1 / -0

In each of these questions two equations (I) and (II) are given. You have to solve both the equation and give answer

    (A) x < y

    (B) x > y

    (C) x ≤ y

    (D) x ≥ y

    (E) x = y Or the relationship cannot be determined.

    I. x= (√12 + √+27)x − 18

    II. y− √27y − 6y + 18√3 = 0

    Solutions

  • Question 4/10

What should come in place of question mark (?) in the following questions?

    212+ 28+ ? = 1546 + 2152

    Solutions

    212+ 28+ ? = 1546 + 2152

    44944 + 784 + ? = 1546 + 46225

    ? = 47771 − 45728

    ?=2043

    12345 ÷ 25 + 345 ÷ 15 + 45 ÷ 5 = ?/5

    Solutions

    12345 ÷ 25 + 345 ÷ 15 + 45 ÷ 5 = ?/5

    493.8 + 23 + 9 = ?/5

    525.8 x 5 = ?

Read the following information carefully and answer the question given below-

In a class of 540 students, for every 9 girls, there are 11 boys. The weight of students is 40, 44, 46 and 50 kg. There are as many 44 kg girls as there are boys and as many 40 kg boys as 50 kg girls. The number of 50 kg boys is 35 more than that of 44 kg girls while there are as many 46 kg boys as there are girls. The ratio of 40 kg boys and girls is 4: 3, while that of 50 kg girls and boys is 1: 3.

The total number of boys weighing 40 kg, 44 kg and 50 kg together is what ratio the total number of girls weighing 46 kg and 50 kg together?

    Solutions

    The total number of boys weighing 40 kg, 44 kg and 50 kg together =24 + 37 + 72 =133
The total number of girls weighing 46 kg and 50 kg together =164 + 24 =188
    Required ratio = 133 : 188

  • Question 8/10
    1 / -0

In the following problems, there is one question and some statements given below the question. You have to decide whether the data given in the statements is sufficient to answer the question. Read all the statements carefully and find out which of the statements is/are sufficient to answer the given question. Choose the correct alternative for each question.

During a week the mean temperature of Tuesday and Thursday was  25∘C25∘C and of Wednesday and Friday was 20∘C20∘C . What was the temperature on Friday?

    I. The temperature on Friday was 4/5th that of Tuesday.

II. The mean temperature of Tuesday and Friday was  28C

III. The difference between the temperature on Tuesday and that on Friday was 5C

    Solutions

    Tuesday + Thursday =25 x 2 = 50C

    Wednesday + Friday =2 x 20 = 40C

    From statement I.

    Friday = 4/5 of Tuesday

    => Tuesday = 5/4 of Friday

    From statement II.

    Tuesday + Friday = 28 x 2 = 56C

Now from I and II together,

    Friday = 24.88C

    From statement III.

    Tuesday – Friday =5

    From statement I and III.

    Tuesday – Friday = 5C

Also, we can determine the temperature on Friday by statement II and III together.

So answer is any two statement together to answer the question.

    Friday = 20C

  • Question 10/10
    1 / -0

Dinesh, Umesh and Rajesh started a business by investing Rs 12000, 15000 and 24000.After four month A invested Rs 8000, B invested Rs 5000 and C withdraw Rs 6000. If they donated 10% of profit in a charity and the difference between remaining profit share of B and C is Rs 900, then then find the total profit earned by them after one years.

    Solutions

    Ratio of profit share = (12000 x 4 + 20000 x 8) : ( 15000 x 4 + 20000 x 8) : (24000 x 4 + 18000 x 8)

    =208: 220: 240 = 52: 55: 60

Let total profit after one year be Rs x

    5/167 × 90/100x = 900 ⇒ x = 33400
