Ganga is the longest river of India. The total length of the Ganga river from its source to its mouth is 2525 km of which 1450 km is in the Uttar Pradesh, 445 km in Bihar and 520 km in West Bengal.

The Kamakhya Temple, also Kamrup-Kamakhya, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam,India, it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas: Kali, Tara, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari,Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamala.

The water cycle, also known as the hydrological cycle or H₂O cycle, describes the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the earth.

The Yarlung Tsangpo is the part of Brahmaputra river that flows through Tibet, known by its Tibetan name. It originates at Angsi Glacier in western Tibet southeast of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar.

• Madhya Pradesh was known as the tiger state of India because of the large number of tiger reserves in the state. Kanha, Pench, Bandhavgarh, Panna, Bori – Sarpura, Sanjay – Dubri tiger reserves are located in the state. 
• Currently, Karnataka is known as the Tiger State of India due to a large number of Tiger reserves in Karnataka in present.

Moorland is a type of habitat found in upland areas in temperate grasslands, savannas and shrublands and montane grasslands and shrublands biomes, characterised by low-growing vegetation on acidic soils.

The Garden of Eden is the biblical "garden of God", described most notably in the Book of Genesis , but also mentioned, directly or indirectly, in Ezekiel, Isaiah and elsewhere in the Old Testament.

The first Indian cotton mill, "The Bombay Spinning Mill", was opened in 1854 in Bombay by Cowasji Nanabhai Davar. Before the middle of the nineteenth century, India used to export cotton to Britain, and then re-import the textile. 

• The spread of the dry farming is mainly in the regions where the average annual rainfall is less than 75 cm. In these areas the rainfall is scanty, where hot and dry conditions prevail.
• The dry farming areas cover the greater parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The Western Ghats Mountain Range is very tall and blocks the moisture from the southwest monsoon from reaching the Deccan Plateau, so the region receives very little rainfall.

The Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary also a declared Tiger Reserve, lies on the northwestern side of the Nilgiri Hills, in Nilgiri District, about 150 kilometres north-west of Coimbatore city in Kongu Nadu region of Tamil Nadu.
