Kalaram Temple movement was launched by  B.R Ambedkar.

• An idea for a Constituent Assembly of India was proposed in 1934 by M. N. Roy, a pioneer of the Communist movement in India and an advocate of radical democracy.
• It became an official demand of the Indian National Congress in 1935, and was accepted by the British in August 1940.
• The first meeting of the Constituent Assembly of India took place in Constitutional Hall, New Delhi, on 9th December 1946.
• Dr. Sachchidananda Sinha was the first chairman of the Constituent Assembly.

The first part of the preamble “We, the people of India” and, its last part “give to ourselves this Constitution” clearly indicate the democratic spirit involved even in the Constitution. India is a democracy. The people of India elect their governments at all levels (Union, State and local) by a system of universal adult franchise; popularly known as "one man one vote"

The Planning Commission was an institution in the Government of India, which formulated India's Five-Year Plans, among other functions. It was located at Yojana Bhavan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi.

Since there is no guarantee to ensure non-vacancy in the Presidential Electoral College, the phrase, "the elected members of Legislative Assemblies of States" means only those who are actually in office at the time of Presidential Election. 

so,11th AMENDMENT was done in 1961 which Indemnify the President and Vice President Election procedure from challenge on grounds of existence of any vacancies in the electoral college 

SO, it can be said that YES, It is permissible to conduct the election for the post of President of India when one or more state Assemblies are dissolved

India witnessed single party domination till 1967. The 1967 elections marked the end of Congress domination in Indian politics. First One Party Dominance Model (1952-1967)-During this period Congress controlled the Indian politics not only at national level but also at the states level. 

“Swaraj Party” was a political party formed in India by Motilal Nehru and Chittaranjan Das in January 1923 after Non Cooperation Movement .
