     The profit is 240% of the CP of a Samsung mobile, SP remains constant when 40% cost is increased, then find out that profit is what percent of SP? (approximately)

    Solutions

    Let C.P.= Rs. 100.

    Then, Profit = Rs. 240,

    S.P. = Rs. 340.

    New C.P. = 140% of Rs. 100 = Rs. 140

    New S.P. = Rs. 340.

    Profit = Rs. (340 - 140) = Rs. 200

    Required percentage   =200/340 × 100 ≈ 59%

    profit of ratio of share of Kiran and Sujata
    (5200 x 7 + 6400 x 5) : (4800 x 7 + 6400 x 5)= (364+320): (336+320)
    =684:656
    =171 : 164

    So, according to question- (100-50)% of y (total profit) = 33500
    Total profit, y = Rs 67000

    Three friends Ankit, Bholu and Chetan has average weight of 88 Kg. Average weight of the four friends becomes 84 Kg when Divya joins them. If Ankit is replaced by Enayat whose weight is 6 kg more than Divya, the average weight of Bholu, Chetan, Divya and Enayat becomes 83 Kg. Find the weight of Ankit.

    Solutions

    Total weight of Ankit, Bholu and Chetan = 88 × 3 kg = 264 kg
    Weight of Divya = 4 × 84 – 264
    = 336 – 264 = 72 kg
    Weight of Enayat = 72 + 6 = 78 kg
    Ankit + Bholu + Chetan + Divya = 264+72=336
    Bholu + Chetan + Divya + Enayat = 83 × 4 = 332
    ⇒ Ankit – Enayat = 4 kg
    ∴ Ankit = 4 + Enayat = 4 + 78 = 82 kg.
