In case State emergency is declared, it needs Parliamentary approval after every 6 months as mentioned in Article 356 of the Indian constitution. Moreover this provision is also called as President's Rule. State emergency is applied when the President is satisfied (either on the recommendation of the Governor or at his own instance) that the government of a particular State cannot be carried on in accordance with the Constitution. Under this emergency the President may assume all functions of the Government of the state concerned and all or any of the powers of the governor of the state.

National Panchayati Raj Day is the national day of India celebrated by Ministry of Panchayati Raj on 24 April every year. 
• Then Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh inaugurated the first National Panchayati Raj Day in 2010.

An independent & democratic India saw a lot of new political initiatives. Large forest areas of princely states and "zamindaris" were taken and adoption of the Forest Policy of 1952 which recommended that 33% of the total land area of the country should be brought under Forest or tree cover. It provided detailed guidelines for management and protection of forests and wildlife.

According to Article 62, if the office of President of Indian falls vacant then it should be filled within period of 6 months.

Parliament amends the Constitution. It gives the power to Parliament to dilute Fundamental Rights through Amendments of the Constitution and can amend any provision of the Constitution.

The Right to property was abolished by the 44^th amendment. The right was abolished due to a controversy which centered upon the questions: who is deemed to have property rights protected (e.g. human beings or also corporations), the type of property which is protected (property used for the purpose of consumption or production), and the reasons for which a property can be restricted (for instance, for regulations, taxation or nationalisation in the public interest).

Under article 80, The President of India can nominate 12 members to Rajya Sabha.
The maximum strength of Rajya Sabha is 250. Other than this, 2 anglo-indians in lok sabha can also be nominated by the President.

Laws pertaining to the elections in India are contained in Part XV of the Indian Constitution. The provisions mentioned in the Articles (324 to 329) cover all aspects of conducting elections starting from inclusion of names in electoral roll to formulation of laws pertaining to elections.

The Attorney General for India is the Indian government's chief legal advisor, and its primary lawyer in the Supreme Court of India. The Attorney General is necessary for giving advice to the Government of India in legal matters referred to him. He also performs other legal duties assigned to him by the President. The Attorney General has the right of audience in all Courts in India as well as the right to participate in the proceedings of the Parliament, though not to vote

• The Panchayats” covering provisions from Article 243 to 243(O) and a new Eleventh Schedule covering 29 subjects within the functions of the Panchayats.
