The Twenty-first Amendment of the Constitution of India, officially known as The Constitution (Twenty-first Amendment) Act, 1967, amended the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution so as to include Sindhi as one of the languages, thereby raising the total number of languages listed in the schedule to fifteen.

The Grand Trunk Road is one of Asia's oldest and longest major roads having existed for at least 2,500 years.Chandragupta Maurya built his highway along this ancient route called Uttarapatha in 3rd century BC.It was rebuilt many times under Sher Shah Suri, the Mughals and the British along a partly similar route. The old route was re-aligned by Suri to Sonargaon and Rohtas.The highway built by him ran from Sonargaon to Peshawar. As a result of his efforts, the road is still known by his name.
