  • Question 3/11
    1 / -0

    Each question contains two quantities as Quantity I and Quantity II. You have to determine the relationship between them and give answer according to it.

    Quantity I: Ratio of the cost price of mobile, laptop and washing machine is 3:4:6 respectively. If laptop sold at the profit of 20% for Rs.480, then what is the cost price of washing machine?

    Quantity II: IF the cost price of 2 chairs and 5 tables is Rs.1050 and the cost price of 3 chairs and one table is Rs.990, what is the cost price of 6 tables?

    Solutions

    From quantity I,

    Cost price of laptop=100/120 * 480=400

    Cost price of washing machine=6/4 * 400=600

    From quantity II,

    2C + 5T=1050 ----(1)

    3C + T=990 -----(2)

    (1) * 3 – (2) * 2

    13T=1170

    T=90

    6 tables rate=6 * 90=Rs.540

    Quantity I < quantity II

  • Question 4/11
    1 / -0

    Each question contains two quantities as Quantity I and Quantity II. You have to determine the relationship between them and give answer according to it.

    Quantity I: Difference between the CI and SI is Rs.40.32 for the amount is Rs.2800 at 2 years. Find the rate of interest?

    Quantity II: 20% of 48 % of 25% of the number is 14.4, then what is 2% of that number?

    Solutions

    From quantity I,

    Difference = (P * r * r)/(100 * 100)

    40.32 = (2800 * r * r)/(100 * 100)

    R = 12%

    From quantity II,

    X * 20/100 * 48/100 * 25/100=14.4

    X=600

    2/100 * 600=12

    Quantity I = quantity II

  • Question 5/11
    1 / -0

    Each question contains two quantities as Quantity I and Quantity II. You have to determine the relationship between them and give answer according to it.

    Quantity I: Train A crosses train B running in opposite direction at the speed of 120 kmph in 12 seconds. If the length of train A and B is 280 m and 320 m respectively, then what is the speed of train A?

    Quantity II: 55

    Solutions

    From quantity I,

    280 + 320=(120 + x) * 5/18 * 12

    1800=1200 + 10x

    X=60 kmph

    Quantity I > quantity II

  • Question 6/11
    1 / -0

    Rahul bought 15 laptops for Rs.75000 and then he also spends Rs.3000 for transport charge. If he sells 13 laptops for Rs.83200, then what is the approximate profit percentage of the overall transaction?

    Solutions

    15 laptops=Rs.75000

    Transport charge=Rs.3000

    Total spending amount=75000 + 3000=78000

    CP of one laptop=78000/15=5200

    SP of one laptop=83200/13=6400

    Profit-6400 – 5200=1200

    Required percentage=1200/5200 * 100=23%

  • Question 7/11
    1 / -0

    The average of 5 consecutive odd numbers is 17 and the average of the 7 consecutive even numbers is 46, then what is the difference between the greatest even number and the second lowest odd number of respective series?

    Solutions

    Odd number series, x, x + 2, x + 4, x + 6 and x + 8

    X + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8=17 * 5

    5x=65

    X=13

    Odd number series=13, 15, 17, 19, 21

    Even number series, y, y + 2, y + 4, y + 6, y + 8, y + 10, y + 12

    Y + y + 2 + y + 4 + y + 6 + y + 8 + y + 10 + y + 12=46 * 7

    7y=280

    Y=40

    Even number series=40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52

    Difference=52 – 15=37

  • Question 8/11

    If the ratio of the radius of cone to cylinder is 3:2 and the volume of the cylinder is 7392 cm3. If radius of the cone is equal to the radius of the circle whose circumference is 132 cm, what is the height of the cylinder?

    Solutions

    Circumference of the circle=2 * 22/7 * r

    132=2 * 22/7 * r

    Radius of the circle=21 cm

    Radius of the cone=21 cm

    Radius of the cylinder=2/3 * 21=14 cm

    Volume of the cylinder=22/7 * r * r * h

    7392=22/7 * 14 * 14 * h

    Height of the cylinder=12 cm

  • Question 9/11

    If the product of the ages of Ragu and Sonu is 768 years and the sum of the ages of Ramu and Rinu is 75 years. Rinu age is 16 years when Sonu was born. If the average of the ages of Ramu, Rinu and Sonu is 33 years, then what is the present age of Ragu?

    Solutions

    Ramu + Rinu + Sonu=99

    Rinu = Sonu + 16

    Ramu + Rinu=75

    Ramu + Sonu + 16=75

    Ramu=59 – Sonu

    59 – Sonu + Sonu + 16 + Sonu=99

    Sonu=24 years

    Ragu=768/24=32 years
