    If NOT = 49 and HIM = 32 then SALT= ?

    Solutions

Write the position of the each letter of the word in the alphabetical series

    In NOT,

    N is coded as 14

    O is coded as 15

    T is coded as 20

    Now sum all the positions = 14 + 15 + 20 = 49

    So in the same way,

    H is coded as 9

    I is coded as 10

    M is coded as 13

    8 + 10 + 13 = 32

    In SALT,

    S coded as 19; A coded as 1; L coded as 12 and T is coded as 20

Sum of the codes = 52
