At Factory A, there are a total of 1500 workers. A man takes a salary of Rs. 6000 per month and a woman takes a salary of Rs. 4000 per month. Then find the ratio of the total amount given to all men to the total amount given to all women?

    Solutions

Total number of worker at Factory at A = 1500

Percentage of Men workers = 45

    Total number of Men workers = 45/100 × 1500 = 675

    Salary of a Man worker = 6000

    Total amount given to Men workers = 675 × 6000 = 4050000

Percentage of Women workers = 35

    Total number of Women workers = 35/100 × 1500 = 525

    Salary of a Woman worker = 4000

    Total amount given to Women workers = 525 × 4000 = 2100000

Ratio of total amount given to men to the total amount given to women =

    4050000 : 2100000

    = 27:14

If there are a total of 1200 workers at Factory B. On a particular day a total of 300 Men workers were absent. Find the percentage of Women workers on that particular day.

    Solutions

Total number of worker at factory B = 1200

Percentage of Women workers = 40%

    Number of Women workers = 40/100×1200 = 480

300 Men workers were absent on a particular day.

    Total number of workers on that particular day = 1200 – 300 = 900

Percentage of Women workers on that particular day =

    =  480/900 × 100 = 53⅓%

If the total number of workers at Factory A and Factory D are 1500 and 1800 respectively, find the ratio of the number of women workers at Factory A to the number of Child workers at Factory D.

    Solutions

Total number of workers at Factory A = 1500

Percentage of Women workers at Factory A = 35%

    Number of Women workers at Factory A = 35/100 × 1500 = 525

Total number of workers at Factory D = 1800

Percentage of Child workers at Factory D = 25%

    Number of Child workers at Factory D =  25/100 × 1800 = 450

Ratio of number of women workers at Factory A to number of Child workers at Factory D = 525 : 450

    = 7 : 6

A man is three times efficient than a woman and a woman is two times efficient than a child. A woman produces 4 articles per day. An article is sold at a profit of 6 paise. Find the profit amount that the owner of Factory B earns in one day. (total number of workers at Factory B is 1200)

    Solutions

Total number of worker at Factory B = 1200

Percentage of Men worker = 50%

Number of Men worker = 600

Percentage of Women worker = 40%

Number of Women worker = 480

Percentage of Child worker = 10%

Number of Child worker = 120

Man is three times more efficient than a Woman and a Woman is two times more efficient than a Child.

Woman produces 4 articles per day.

So, Men will produce 12 articles per day and A Child will produce 2 articles/day.

So,total number of Articles produced at Factory B in one day =

    = 600 × 12 + 480 × 4 + 120 × 2

    = 7200 + 1920 + 240

    = 9360 articles

    Profit on 1 article = 6 paise

    Profit on 9360 articles = 9360 × 6 = 56160 paise or 561.60 ₹

Hence, the amount that the owner of Factory B earns in one day = 561.60 ₹
