The mass number of an element is not changed when it emits ___________.
The number of protons and neutrons in a nucleus is called mass number. When an alpha particle is emitted from a nucleus, the nucleus loses two protons and two neutrons. This means the atomic mass number decreases by 4 and the atomic number decreases by 2. In Beta decay, a neutron changes into a proton plus an electron. The proton in the nucleus and the electron leaves the atom with high end and we call it a beta particle. When a beta particle is emitted from the nucleus, the nucleus has one more proton and one less neutron. This means the atomic mass number remains unchanged and the atomic number increases by 1. Gamma, radiation doesn't change the number of protons or neutrons in a nucleus but it does change the way they are arranged. Gamma decay does not change the mass or charge of the atom from which it originates. So the mass number remains unchanged in Beta and Gamma radiations.
A shopkeeper sells wheat at a profit of 20% and for weighing uses a weight which is 10% less than the actual weight. What is his total profit percentage?
Let the cost of 100 gm wheat be Rs 100 SP of 90 gm wheat = Rs 120 CP of 90 gm wheat = Rs 90 Profit = 120 - 90 =30 ∴ Total profit percentage = 30/90 × 100 = 33.33%
The Glands which are associated with the Human Digestive System is_________?

Which work will not be done properly in the absence of ribosome in a cell?
Ribosomes contain molecules called RNA. These molecules hold all of the instructions necessary for the ribosomes to carry out protein synthesis or the process of creating proteins. In the absence of ribosome in a cell it wouldn't be able to produce proteins for the other cells. It would cause the cells to stop working. If there were no ribosomes in the cell then there would be no RNA.
The nerves which are attached to the brain and emerge from the skull is_________?
The cranial nerve emerges from or enters the skull (the cranium), as opposed to the spinal nerves which emerge from the vertebral column. There are twelve cranial nerves. In terms of its embryonic development, the optic nerve is a part of the central nervous system (CNS) rather than a peripheral nerve.
