• Dadasahed Phalke award was instituted in 1969.
• Dadasahed Phalke is known as the ‘Father of Indian Cinema’. He made first full length film of India titled Raja Harishchandra in 1913.
• The award comprises a Swarna Kamal medallion, a shawl, and a cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakh.
• Devika Rani was the first recipient of Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 1969.
• Amitabh Bachan awarded this award in 2018 which was 66th Dada Saheb Phalke Award.
• It is presented by Directorate of Film Festivals under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
* Kailasa temple in the Ellora Caves is the largest rock-cut monument in the world.
* The Ellora Caves are listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is celebrated for its Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain temples and monuments.
* These temples and monuments were carved from the local cliff rock in the 6th to 8th century CE.
