Each state has a Governor, who has the executive power of state in his hand. The governor is neither elected by the citizens or by Mps and MLAs. Governors are directly appointed by the President of India. A governor should not be the part of any of the houses and if he is then he has to resign.

Article 5 –Citizenship at the commencement of the Constitution.

A person who had his domicile in India and also fulfilled any one of the three conditions,

i. if he was born in India; or

ii. if either of his parents was born in India; or

iii. if he has been ordinarily resident in India for five years immediately before the commencement of the Constitution, became a citizen of India.

• Two Congress leaders Dr. Satya Pal and Dr. Saifuddin Kitchlew were arrested and in response for their freedom people gathered at Jalliab wallah bagh to protest against the government.

During inflation, CRR is increased to reduce the money supply in the economy by reducing the amount of credit creation by the banks .

During inflation, SLR is increased, which will reduce the cash resources of commercial bank and reducing credit availability in the economy.

C. Rajagopalachari, popularly known as Rajaji, was the last Governor General of India. He succeeded Lord Mountbatten and was Governor General of India from 1948 to 1950. After C. Rajagopalachari, the title of Governor General was abolished and was replaced by President of India. C. Rajagopalachari also has the distinction of being the first Indian Governor General of India.
