Union Minister of Food Processing Industries gave its nod to 27 projects under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana for development of integrated cold chains and value addition infrastructure in the country.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu released ‘The State of Young Child in India’ report, a comprehensive account of the challenges related to early child development in India.

• The report has been prepared by Mobile Creches a policy advocacy organisation which works with the underprivileged children across India. So, statement 1 is correct.
• Quoting from the report, the Vice President said that of the 159 million children aged below 6 years in India, 21 percent are undernourished, 36 percent are underweight and 38 percent do not receive full immunization. So, statement 2 is correct.

The Republic of China is a country of East Asia. It is the largest of all Asian countries and has the largest population of any country in the world.

Viruses are non-cellular, microscopic infectious agents that can only replicate inside a host cell. 

From a biological perspective, viruses cannot be classified either as living organisms or non-living.
