A grand durbar was held at Allahabad on November 1, 1858.

• Lord Canning sent the royal proclamation which announced that the Queen has assumed the Government of India.
• This proclamation declared the future policies of the British in India.
• It was called Magna Carta of the people of India.
• It was declared in the principles of religious toleration and justice as guiding policy of Queen’s rule.
• The armies of the East India Company ceased to exist and forces in India were incorporated as an integral part of the British army.
• Now onwards sepoys were enlisted in the regular service in the British Army and participated in the World War in the next century.

Statement 1 is incorrect - e-SANTA is an electronic marketplace providing a platform to connect aqua farmers and buyers. The term e-SANTA was coined for the web portal, meaning Electronic Solution for Augmenting NaCSA farmers' Trade-in Aquaculture. National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA) is an extension arm of Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), Govt. of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Following the success of the Village and Digital connect initiative during which TRIFED’s regional officials across the country went to identified villages with a significant tribal population and supervised the implementation of the various programmes and initiatives earlier in 2021, TRIFED under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has now launched “Sankalp se Siddhi” - Village & Digital Connect Drive. IUCN Red List:

• The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species founded in 1964, is the world's most comprehensive inventory of the global conservation status of biological species.
• It does not include Fragile ecosystems and protected areas.
• IUCN is coming up with a separate list of such fragile ecosystems in the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems.

Cabinet term was inserted in Article 352 of the Constitution in 1978 by the 44th Constitutional Amendment Act.

• Thus, it did not find a place in the original text of the Constitution.

Now also, Article 352 only defines the cabinet saying that it is ‘the council consisting of the prime minister and other ministers of cabinet rank appointed under Article 75’ and does not describe its powers and functions.

In other words, its role in our politico-administrative system is based on the conventions of parliamentary government as developed in Britain.

It enforces the collective responsibility of the council of ministers to the Lower House of Parliament.

• Established in Madras (Chennai) in 1864. Therefore statement 1 is correct.

Sir Syed launched the Aligarh Movement of which Aligarh was the center. Therefore, Statement 1 is not correct. 

He had two immediate objectives in mind: to remove the state of misunderstanding and tension between the Muslims and the new British

government, and to induce them to go after the opportunities available under the new regime without deviating in any way from the fundamentals of their faith.

The Aligarh Movement had other objectives also such as:
