What value will come in place of question mark (?) in the following question?
∛1728 + ∛343 - ∛9261 = ?
Verify mobile number to view the solution
123 = 1728, 73 = 343, 213 = 9261
? = ∛1728 + ∛343 - ∛9261
= 12 + 7 - 21 = -2

What was the share of Iran in total oil production by OPEC countries in year 2009?
Iran's share in oil production in 2009 = 11/44 x 100 = 25%
(0.729)98 ÷ 0.8169 = (0.729)?
(0.93)98 ÷ (0.92)69 = (0.93)?
(0.9)(3x98 - 2x69) = (0.93)?
So, ? = (3x98 - 2x69 )/3 = 52
Each question contains a statement followed by two quantities I and II. Read the following information carefully and answer your questions accordingly.
Quantity I: The sum of present ages of A, B and C is 42 years and the ratio of their present ages is 2: 1: 3 respectively. What will be the age of C after 12 years from now?
Quantity II: Ages of A and B before four years was in the ratio 4: 5 respectively and the ratio of their ages after 10 years will be 15: 17 respectively. What will be the age of B after 10 years?
Quantity I:
A + B + C = 42
A: B: C = 2: 1: 3
C = (3/6) x 42 = 21 years
Age of C after 12 years = 21 + 12 = 33 years
Quantity II:
(A - 4): (B - 4) = 4: 5
A = (4B + 4)/5
(A + 10): (B + 10) = 15: 17
A = (15B - 20)/17
(4B + 4)/5 = (15B - 20)/17
B = 24 years
Age of B after 10 years = 24 + 10 = 34 years
Hence, Quantity I < Quantity II
What is the approximate average production of the all OPEC countries (in mb/day) for the given period?
Average production of oil = (35+38+36+40+45+44)/6 = 238/6 ≈ 40
In the following questions, two statements numbered I and II are given. On solving them we get two quantities: Quantity I and Quantity II respectively. Solve for both the quantities and choose the correct option.
Quantity I: If successive discounts of 4%, 10% and 25% is provided on an article, what is the overall percentage discount provided?
Quantity II: 36%
Let the M.P of the item be Rs 100
S.P = 100*(1 - 4/100)*(1 - 10/100)*(1 - 25/100) = Rs 64.8
Overall percentage discount = 100 - 64.8 = 35.2%
Find the wrong term in the series given below.
2, 21, 59, 116, 186, 287
The pattern is as follows:
2 + 19 x 1 = 21
21 + 19 x 2 = 59
59 + 19 x 3 = 116
116 + 19 x 4 = 192
192 + 19 x 5 = 287
Ram invested Rs. 15,000 @ 10% per annum for one year. If the interest is compounded half yearly, then what amount Ram will receive at the end of the year?
P = Rs. 15000; R = 10% p.a. = 5% per half-year; T = 1 year = 2 half-years
A = P ( 1+ r/100 )T
= 15000 (1 + 5/100)2
15000 x 21/20 x 21/20 = Rs. 16537.50
80/2 + 6 x 11 = ? + 490/7 - 16
? = (80/2) + 6 x 11 - (490/7) + 16
= 40 + 66 - 70 + 16
=52
In an examination, the average marks of 8 students was found to be 66. On re-checking it was found that marks of one student was misprinted 48 instead of 84 and 24 instead of 42. What is the increase in the average marks after re-checking?
Sum of the marks of the 8 students before re-checking = 66*8 = 528
Sum of the marks of the 8 students after re-checking
= 528 - 48 + 84 - 24 + 42 = 582
New average = 582/8 = 72.75
Increase = 72.75 - 66 = 6.75
