Vacancy Details, Age Limit and Qualification
Age Limit: The age limit to apply for BPSC Bihar TRE 4 Recruitment 2026 is 18-37 Years for Primary and Middle School Teacher and 21-37 Years for Secondary and Sr. Secondary Teacher. The cutoff date for calculating the age limit is 01.01.2026 (use the Age Calculator). The age relaxation will be given as per the rules.

BPSC TRE 4.0 Full Vacancy Details 2026
In its official notification, the BPSC has released full details regarding category-wise and subject-wise vacancies for all four teaching levels. The highest number of posts—16,101—has been allocated for Classes 11–12 (Higher Secondary), while 8,563 posts have been designated for Classes 6–8 (Middle School). Vacancies for primary teachers are categorized by medium (General, Urdu, and Bangla), whereas vacancies in the remaining three categories are determined by subject.

The BPSC TRE 4.0 selection process will be conducted through a structured, multi-stage system, and qualifying for each stage will be mandatory to proceed further. Unlike previous TRE cycles, this time a preliminary test will be held first, and only qualified candidates will be allowed to sit for the main exam. As per the latest guidelines, there will be no negative marking in the 150-question paper.

BPSC TRE 4.0 Exam Pattern 2026
The BPSC TRE 4.0 selection will be conducted in two stages: a preliminary test followed by a Main Examination, and there will be negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer in both stages. Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Test will only be called for the Main Examination, which differs slightly in structure for each teacher category.
