The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released the official notification for Assistant Teacher (Primary) Recruitment 2025. A total of 1180 vacancies have been announced under the Directorate of Education and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). The online application process will start on 17 September 2025, and the last date to apply is 16 October 2025. Educational Qualification (Essential):

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
    OR
  • 10+2 with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE norms 2002)
    OR
  • 10+2 with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.
    OR
  • 10+2 with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
    OR
  • Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Must have passed CTET (Paper I) conducted by CBSE
  • Must have studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/English as a subject at the secondary level

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age relaxation as per rules:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 to 15 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Period of service + 3 years (up to 55 years)
    • Contractual/Guest Teachers (DOE): One-time relaxation up to 5 years

Selection Process

The selection will be based on:

  1. Computer-Based Test
  2. Document Verification
  • Final selection will be made based on merit cum preference.
  • The normalization method will be applied if required.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • General/EWS: 40%
    • OBC: 35%
    • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
    • Ex-servicemen: 5% relaxation in their respective category

Salary

Selected candidates will get Pay Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400, Group B (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) along with allowances as per government rules.
