Educational Qualification (Essential):
- Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
OR - 10+2 with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE norms 2002)
OR - 10+2 with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.
OR - 10+2 with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR - Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Must have passed CTET (Paper I) conducted by CBSE
- Must have studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/English as a subject at the secondary level
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age relaxation as per rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 to 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Period of service + 3 years (up to 55 years)
- Contractual/Guest Teachers (DOE): One-time relaxation up to 5 years
Selection Process
The selection will be based on:
- Computer-Based Test
- Document Verification
- Final selection will be made based on merit cum preference.
- The normalization method will be applied if required.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General/EWS: 40%
- OBC: 35%
- SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
- Ex-servicemen: 5% relaxation in their respective category
