Vacancy Details, Age Limit and Qualification
Age Limit: The age limit for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 is 18-27 Years (Candidates born not before 02-08-1999 and not later than 01-08-2008). The cutoff date for the calculation of the age limit is 01.08.2026. (Use Age Calculator). Age Relaxation will be given as per the rules.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages:
- Tier-I Computer-Based Examination (Objective Type)
- Tier-II Computer-Based Examination (Sectional Objective Tests + Computer Knowledge Test)
- Skill Test / Typing Test (Session-II of Tier-II)
- Document Verification (DV conducted by User Departments)
Exam Pattern and Syllabus
Before beginning the SSC CHSL preparation, it is important to make note of changes in the exam pattern and syllabus. The following modifications apply to the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2026:
- SSC CHSL 2026 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in online mode.
- There will be sectional timing for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams.
- Tier II will include Objective Multiple Choice + Skill Test & Typing Test.
- There is negative marking in the SSC CHSL 2026 Tier 1 Exam. Giving a wrong answer to a question will lead to a penalty of 0.5 marks in all sections.
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is an objective exam conducted online. The Tier 1 exam has 4 sections and 100 questions, totalling 200 marks. The subject-wise details are given below:

The Tier 1 syllabus for the SSC CHSL 2026 Exam includes 4 subjects, namely General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill), and English Language (Basic Knowledge). The topics to be included in the Tier 1 exam in each subject are as follows-

- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website (or log in if already registered on the new portal).
