Why Was the Exam Postponed?

A postponement notice was released by UPCISB on 15 July 2026, barely few days prior to the originally scheduled date. The board gave the reasons for this decision and stated that new dates will be communicated via its website. Now, candidates have been waiting for almost six weeks for this communication. Now that the new dates have been communicated, all is well and good. Any marking made on the old dates in the month of July can be completely disregarded.

Assistant/Cashier constitutes the maximum number of vacancies, followed by Junior Manager, which has 45 vacancies.

Note: This is a specific recruitment campaign. Only those candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Class (OBC) category in Uttar Pradesh could apply. Out of 116 vacancies, 63 vacancies have been reserved for OBC category candidates, while 53 vacancies have been reserved for SC category candidates.
